Buffy the Vampire Slayer Fan Cast

I think a year or two ago there was talk of this series getting a big screen reboot, as fan of Joss Whedon’s original show, I’d love to see a fresh take brought to the big screen that manages to create something new whilst paying homage the original. That being said, rumour has it the team behind this new take are looking to take a darker tone with it and remove all Whedon-ness from it. Frankly, I think that’s pretty stupid, darker could work but Buffy is supposed to be slightly tongue-in-cheek and fun, so removing the Whedon factor hardly seems like a smart move. He’s a pretty good actor, liked him quite a bit in Boy A and the Social Network , saying that though, I don’t think he’s right for teenage Spider-Man, older mid-twenties Spidey? Sure. Anyway, I mainly cast him as he just has that natural Xander-esque charm to him, really that simple. I think he could definitely help create an engaging supporting character. She’s a solid actress, looking forward to her in the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo . Personally I think she is a very versatile individual and much like my logic behind casting Garfield, I think she could help in creating Buffy’s strong supporting cast. Plus, with the introduction of Willow and Giles, the series could introduce more supernatural and magical elements. He’s a pretty good actor, really liked him in O , Lucky Number Slevin and 30 Days of Night . I mainly cast him as much like with David Boreanaz, Hartnett has that brooding, mysterious ‘heart throb’ look to him needed for the role, plus he could also deliver on the character’s savagery and sadism as he is very talented and versatile. Anyway, just as a side note I’d like the vampires to get a visual upgrade for when they go all demon faced; think 30 Days of Night meets the Buffy TV show with a fine dose of Blade II ; just think it would be cool if the vampires looked more monstrous once they vamped out. Skarsgards as Spike? sorry but I can't see that, I haven't seen him produce the wit or charm in any role he's played.Don't see a point in a movie to be honest but most of the cast is solid. I like your picks for the scoobie gang all of them fit perfectly Mara, Heard and Garfield(its funny how you say he's doesn't suit a teen, yet I am guessing the first movie would take place in high school, so you cast him as a teen.Hypocrisy much.) all great young actors.

I love buffy the vampire slayer. It is the best show of all time. I have all the seasons on dvd. My fave characters are Buffy, Faith, Angel, Spike, they are totally cool.
