FORT DRUM -- Soldiers and families with the Tenth Mountain Division have invested more in Afghanistan than any other arm of the U.S. military over the last decade. So a lot was at stake Thursday when President Barack Obama arrived at Fort Drum to talk up his plan to bring home a third of the 100,000 American forces now in that country.

Man's WWII-era rocket prompts NY air base shutdown

When security personnel saw the rocket in the back seat of the man's pickup truck, they evacuated the base and the area around the entrance. A military bomb disposal team from Fort Drum was brought in and determined the rocket was inert.
