Police Log: Man advised on citizen's arrest

A caller reported loud music from a backyard radio on the 1200 block of Meadow Lane at 12:21 p.m. Saturday, June 25. Police checked and reported the music’s volume had been lowered. The man said he didn’t want to do anything at this time. The officer advised him of how he could make a citizen’s arrest for loud noise disturbing his peace, but he didn’t follow up. 11:39 a.m.: A woman reported the Shell gas station charged her $125 for gas and she only pumped $40 worth on the 3700 block of North Tracy Boulevard. She said the station wouldn’t refund the difference. Police checked and found the customer canceled the transaction and then went inside and made a $46 purchase, making her overdrawn because of a $125 hold. The manager explained to the woman about the station’s refund hold policy. 2:27 p.m.: A caller reported a problem with her new landlord on the 1200 block of Gentry Court. She said he was complaining about trash as she moved in, and she said the trash was from a former tenant. She said he spit on her while they were arguing. He told police she was verbally abusive. He requested documentation for a civil lawsuit he plans to pursue. 7:41 a.m.: A caller reported a woman jumping out of a car near Grant Line Road and Holly Drive. He said he was with public works, and a co-worker saw the man beating the woman, who is lying in the street. He requested medics. Police notified Lathrop police to check on the woman’s boyfriend, who may have fled to his home, but they couldn’t find his car. The incident is under investigation. In a second listing for the same event, police documented the incident as a kidnapping.
