Bring in your gently used or new winter coats that no longer fit! Oregon Weight Loss Surgery is partnering with New Avenues for Youth in trying to help supply winter coats for homeless plus size youth.
New Avenues for Youth is a non-profit in Portland providing programs and services for homeless teens that empower them to exit street life. We serve over 1,200 young people each year by not only meeting basic needs like food, showers, and clothing but by providing counseling, education, job training, and housing.
During these colder winter months, the need for warm clothing and coats is great. We have a number of youth who are plus size and are specifically looking for coat donations size XL-3XXX. Please consider donating your gently used plus size coat or clothing to New Avenues for Youth. We also gladly accept gift card donations that allow us to purchase new coats or clothing. Thank you for helping us keep the youth we serve warm and cared for this winter!
